It is both an honor and a privilege to join Dubai Schools Nad Al Sheba as Superintendent. Having spent more than fifteen years in educational leadership across New York City and Dubai, including most recently serving as an Executive Leader at Dubai American Academy, I believe in creating schools where every learner is known, challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve their very best. This commitment to lifelong learning extends to my own professional journey as I pursue my Doctorate in Learning and Leadership at University College London (UCL).
At Dubai Schools Nad Al Sheba, we are committed to providing an exceptional American education that prepares students not only for academic success, but for meaningful and purposeful lives beyond school. Grounded in the New York State Common Core Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards, and enriched by the culture, heritage, and values of the UAE, our curriculum develops confident learners who are deeply connected to their identity and prepared to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
As a school that proudly serves the nation’s children, we place particular importance on excellence in both Arabic and English while recognizing that literacy in today’s world extends far beyond reading and writing alone. Our commitment to multi-literacies empowers students to become critical thinkers, creators, and ethical digital citizens equipped to shape the future.
We also believe that leadership is not a position held by a few, but a responsibility and opportunity for all. Through purposeful opportunities to lead within the classroom, school, and wider community, we aim to empower every student to develop agency, character, and the confidence to make a positive difference. In doing so, we prepare young people not only for success in higher education, but to contribute meaningfully to the ambitions of Dubai Economic Agenda D33, Education 33, and KHDA’s Skills for Life Framework as future leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.
Education is most powerful when schools, families, and communities come together with a shared responsibility for every learner’s journey and success. I look forward to building strong relationships and working alongside our students, staff, and families as we continue to nurture a vibrant community of learners where wellbeing, resilience, curiosity, and the practical life skills that enable young people to flourish in learning, work, and life are valued and celebrated.
Together, we will empower our students to achieve excellence, embrace their values, lead with purpose, and confidently shape their future as they contribute to Dubai, the UAE, and the wider world- leading the way for the next generation.
